Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is Small Business Saturday where, thanks to the folks at American Express, there is push to get people to do some (if not all!) of their holiday shopping from local artisans and small businesses. As a small business owner (or one day owner) yourself, I hope you’ll do your part and support other phenomenal small businesses and artisans both in your community and online. Remember – shop small!
The 2nd Annual Small Business Saturday(r), sponsored by American Express, is scheduled for November 26th. With Halloween officially behind us it means that, for many small food business owners, the biggest sales period of the year is heading directly at us like a oncoming train. The idea behind the Small Business Saturday is that it is meant to encourage customers to forgo big box stores and mass manufactured items and to instead shop at small independent retailers. If you happen to be one of these retailers, whether you’re a brick-and-mortar establishment or you sell online, the Small Business Saturday site also offers you a number of ways to promote the event in your store and/or online with your customers.
