Affordable Care Act’s Impact On Your Small Business
Here in the US, tomorrow marks the beginning of open enrollment under the new Affordable Care Act. Also known as ObamaCare depending on which side of the political aisle you lean towards, I’ve been getting lots of questions about how this impacts small business owners like yourself because there are provisions in the law for self-employed business owners and those who have less than 25 employees.
Since I know as much about healthcare as I do quantum physics, I figured it was a much better idea to point you in the direction of some resources that might be able to help you make heads or tails out of how this new law will impact you and your business. And there’s no better resource out there right now about the Affordable Care Act and small businesses than the US Small Business Administration.
For employers who have less than 25 employees, there are a different set of requirements which you need to be aware of. Click here for the SBA’s explanation of how the law will impact you.
Lastly, the SBA is offering free webinars to self-employed and small business owners every Thursday in October at 2p EST. Advance registration is required.
