A TV Show That’ll Turn Food Hobbyists Into Food Entrepreneurs
Before I take off for San Francisco I wanted to share some news with you about a really interesting ‘foodie’ Kickstarter campaign meets Shark Tank-like TV show (if you haven’t watched Shark Tank then you’re missing out on my favorite entrepreneur show currently on the air). The Yum Factor is on Kickstarter trying to raise funds to film a pilot episode of a show that will feature folks who have a great food product but don’t know what to do next to turn it into a business.
The Yum Factor is a show where everyday folks will compete to win money and more to turn their specialty food hobby into a business!
Rewards for the winners will include all sorts of amazing stuff like packaging design, business consulting*, placement on specialty store shelves, and cash to help them get it all up and running. If you’re interested in learning more about The Yum Factor and about the associated Kickstarter campaign check out their project page.
* I am meeting with Claudia, the host and brains behind The Yum Factor, when I’m in San Francisco later this week to determine how/if Small Food Business might be able to help partner with this project. At this point though I am not receiving any type of compensation for this posting and I am not affiliated with the project in any way.
