Get Talking! Introducing A Free Food Producers Online Discussion Board
In addition to the new SmallFoodBizU LEARN icon to the right, you may have also noticed the SPEECH BUBBLE icon as well. That is the snazzy new graphic linking directly into the Food Producers Online Discussion Board – also known as the Food Biz Forum. Once again, based on your suggestions and feedback that you’d like a way to talk to, ask questions of, and share ideas with other small food business owners I’m really excited to say that I’ve pulled together an online forum that will allow you to do just that.
Of course, no forum or discussion board can work unless there is actual discussion. The site is just getting started right now so don’t let the fact that it may currently be quiet keep you from jumping on board and asking questions or simply getting to know one another. I’d also encourage you to tell other food entrepreneurs you know – be they food truck operators, small manufacturers, cottage food businesses, or simply anyone thinking about starting up a business in this industry – about the Discussion Board because the more people we can get talking the better the overall experience will be for everyone.
This is a bit of a test and if it turns out that people don’t use the Discussion Board I may abandon the project altogether so if this is something you’re excited about then get talking!
Quick note on the Food Biz Forum:
1. Please Post – I encourage you to start your own topics!
2. I haven’t currently broken the Discussion Board down into various subtopics as I’d like the most talked about issues to stay at the top but that may change down the road if we find that we have a variety of different businesses that have different needs.
3. Just like Kindergarten – be polite! No slamming anyone, no trolling, etc – I maintain the right to delete any posts that I deem to be inappropriate.
